<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, as a main purpose of the present invention, a manufacturing method for a color filter for forming a color layer, using a plurality of ink jet nozzles, capable of reducing a dispersion of hues or the like in the respective formed color layers, and capable of reducing color irregularity to allow high quality of display. <P>SOLUTION: This manufacturing method for the color filter forms the color layer by applying color layer forming application liquids, using the plurality of ink jet nozzles, in respective color layer forming areas of a color filter forming substrate, for the purpose of attaining the purpose of the present invention. The manufacturing method for the color filter has an inspecting color layer forming process for applying respectively the color layer forming application liquids, according to a predetermined initial condition, from the plurality of ink jet nozzles of the combination the same as that when forming the color layer on each test area of an inspection substrate and for forming an inspecting color layer, a correction condition determining process for inspecting the inspecting color layer and for determining a correction condition in which only one ink jet nozzle set condition is corrected from the initial condition, out of the plurality of ink jet nozzles used for forming the irregularity-generated inspecting color layer, and a color layer forming process by applying the color layer forming application liquids, in the respective color layer forming areas of the color filter forming substrate, according to the correction condition determined by the correction condition determining process, and for forming the color layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
