PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire excellent in hydroplaning-proof properties and slush snow performance in addition to performance on snow and on ice. SOLUTION: In the pneumatic tire, a tread step surface of the tire is divided to a plurality of land parts by a plurality of circumferential grooves extending in a circumferential direction of the tread and a plurality of grooves in a width direction extending in a width direction of the tread. The circumferential groove comprises a wide circumferential main groove and a plurality of narrow circumferential side-grooves, the width of the circumferential side-groove is 60% or less of the width of the circumferential main groove, and the total of the width of the circumferential side-grooves is less than the width of the circumferential main groove.
