PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a home installation phone capable of easily preventing leakage of built-in data and illegal use of a telephone function. SOLUTION: There is provided a security button 15 for setting a security state where use of built-in data and part or all of a telephone function is prohibited, and the button is set to a security state by button operation. In response to the number of times of continuous operation of the security button 15, the button is set to any security level among a plurality of the security levels, and there is prohibited the use of a function of a function limit range corresponding to the set security level 12b. When the button is set to the security state, an LED contained in the security button 15 is lighted. Further, in response to the set security level, emission colors of the LED and/or emitting methods are changed. When the security state is released, password input screen is displayed by the operation of the security button 15, to which a password corresponding to a previously registered password 12a is entered.
