PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent resin composition excellent in transparency, heat resistance, impact resistance and rigidity, and to provide a molded article obtained from the composition. SOLUTION: The transparent resin composition contains an alkyl unsaturated carboxylate polymer (A), a copolymer (B) containing an aromatic vinyl monomer and an unsaturated carboxylic acid as constituent units and having an acid value of 50-350, and a rubbery polymer (C) containing an aromatic vinyl monomer and a conjugated diene monomer as constituent units. When the refractive indices of (A), (B), and (C) are defined as nA, nB, and nC, respectively, the weights of (A) and (B) are defined as WA and WB, respectively, wherein the total weight of (A) and (B) is set to 1, and when nA/WA is defined as NA, and nB/WB is defined as NB, the resin composition satisfies following expression: ¾NA+NB-nC¾<0.02. The resin composition has a glass transition temperature of 110-180°C and contains (C) in a weight ratio of 0.5-20% based on the total weight of (A) to (C).
