PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an excessive approach of a sheet to a width regulation plate when the sheet is made to abut on the width regulation plate and moved by processing rollers in the case that a sheet alignment movement distance of the processing rollers is constant. SOLUTION: The sheet processing device is provided with a processing tray 205 on which sheets discharged from pairs of carrying rollers 203 for discharging the sheets are stacked, and the processing rollers 204 for moving the sheets stacked on the processing tray 205 to a direction intersecting with the sheet discharge direction. The sheet processing device is further provided with the width regulation plate 243 for receiving and aligning side ends of the sheets moved to the intersecting direction by the processing rollers 204, and bundle delivery grippers 241 for holding the sheets stacked on the processing tray 205 to prevent their positional shifts. The processing rollers 204 are further moved with the sheets abutting on the width regulation plate 243, and the bundle delivery grippers 241 hold the sheets when the processing rollers 204 are moved for a predetermined distance with the sheets abutting on the width regulation plate 243.
