The furniture piece (1) comprises a moving piece (10,21,27) which is supported to move in a fixed piece of the furniture piece along a predetermined movement path. A rotor (15,23) of a linear motor (2) is provided, where the fixed piece has a stator (13,22) of the linear motor. The stator has a coil assembly located along the movement path of the rotor over a portion of a length of the movement path. The rotor is formed of a magnetizing material. |
