<p>To detect a tissue lesion in a very early stage, a nuclear magnetic resonance imaging apparatus (10) comprises a transmission/reception means (26) for transmitting a high-frequency signal and receiving a magnetic resonance signal from a subject, a control means (40) for controlling the transmission/reception means such that scans based on pulse sequences corresponding to a first imaging condition without the application of an MT pulse and a second imaging condition with the application of the MT pulse are executed, a calculation means (36) for calculating a lesion diagnostic rating index represented by a function between a signal intensity (Mo) of a first magnetic resonance signal received from the subject under the first imaging condition and a signal intensity (Ms) of a second magnetic resonance signal received from the subject under the second imaging condition, and a detection means (38) for detecting a sign of a lesion of the living tissue of the imaged region based on the lesion diagnostic rating index.</p> |
