METHOD FOR PREPARING CHART FOR ADJUSTING NOZZLE POSITION, METHOD FOR ADJUSTING NOZZLE POSITION, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily confirm an appropriate nozzle position of an overlapped part of adjoining short length heads in a long length head unit composed of a plurality of the short length heads.

SOLUTION: While a recording medium is relatively moved in the direction orthogonal to the lengthwise direction of the long length head unit arranged so that the end parts of the adjoining short length heads 1A and 1B overlap each other by using respective nozzles positioned at the overlapped part 2 of the adjoining short length heads 1A and 1B, a plurality of charts for adjustment having oblique line images 10 being oblique to the lengthwise direction of the head unit are recorded by respectively changing the position of the endmost part of the nozzle used of at least one short length head between the adjoining short length heads 1A and 1B.
