PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for production by which a fluorine-containing epoxy compound can be more efficiently prepared. SOLUTION: The method for producing the fluorine-containing epoxy compound comprises a first reaction step of reacting a fluoroalkyl iodide represented by Rf<SP>1</SP>-I or I-Rf<SP>2</SP>-I [wherein, Rf<SP>1</SP>and Rf<SP>2</SP>are each a straight-chain or a branched polyfluorocarbon group having at least one fluorine group on a carbon atom adjacent to the iodine group (-I)] with an unsaturated alcohol represented by CR<SP>1</SP>R<SP>2</SP>=CR<SP>3</SP>-CR<SP>4</SP>R<SP>5</SP>(OH) [wherein, R<SP>1</SP>to R<SP>5</SP>are each independently a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group or an aralkyl group] in the presence of a radical catalyst and affording an unsaturated alcohol-fluoroalkyl iodide adduct and a second reaction step of reacting the resultant adduct with a basic compound and providing the fluorine-containing epoxy compound. In the method for producing the fluorine-containing epoxy compound, the first reaction step is carried out in the presence of the fluorine-containing epoxy compound. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
