PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indicator capable of resolving existing problems by improving the texture of the indicator while creating a three-dimensional appearance and expensive-looking by a decorative ring provided to surround the periphery of a cover plate and butting the decorative ring on the side of a case while maintaining fixing strength. SOLUTION: This indicator includes: an exterior member 1 storing an indicating member D; the translucent cover plate 13 made of resin material and provided on the side of the front surface of the exterior member 1 for visually recognizing the indicating member D; and the decorative ring 20 provided to surround the periphery of the cover plate 13. The exterior member 1 is provided with a fixing part 14 retaining the decorative ring 20 while positioning the decorative ring 20, and a groove part 15 surrounding the periphery of the fixing part 14 and receiving the end part 22 of the decorative ring 20 by abutting the end part 22 thereon.
