The invention relates to a cooling body (1) for an LED module having at least one longitudinal air guidance region (2) for guiding an air movement along the main extension (L) of the air guidance region (2) in order to remove heat. To this end, the air guidance region (2) comprises an opening leading outside, for example, in the form of a longitudinal gap (3). The clearance of the air guidance region (2) increases in the inward direction (I). In this manner, the cooling body (1) may be structured such that the outer appearance thereof is not dominated by a ribbed or lamellar structure, and is therefore able to comprise part of the outer region of the housing of the LED module, which allows a particularly effective cooling of the LED module (20) because an external housing is no longer necessary. Moreover, a targeted guidance of air is possible due to the longitudinal air guidance region (2), such that the cooling body (1) also has an improved heat conductor function. In this manner, the requirement for a separate heat conductor, for example, in the form of heat pipes, in the LED module no longer applies, which allows for a particularly simple construction of the LED module. |
