The invention relates to a measure bench for characterising the mechanical behaviour of materials, characterised in that it comprises an electro-acoustic transducer (HP1, HP2) in contact with one of the faces of a sample (PS) of the material, and an immobile portion in contact with the face of said sample that is opposite the face in contact with said transducer, said transducer being, on the one hand, adapted for applying a compression force on the sample (PS) and, on the other hand, for taking a measure for characterising the mechanical behaviour of said sample.
