PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method, not causing image shift even if a toner image formed using toner having shelf stability and image preservation after fixing is fixed by a contact heat fixing device having a heat roller a belt-like pressure unit disposed on the unfixed toner image side while securing fixability. SOLUTION: This image forming method includes a process of fixing a toner image formed on a record medium using toner containing binder resin and a coloring agent and having a core-shell structure using the contact heat fixing device having the heat roller and the belt-like pressure unit, wherein the heat roller is disposed on the unfixed toner image side, tetrahydrofuran insoluble content of resin forming the core is 10-30 mass%, the glass transition point of resin forming the core is 50-70°C, the glass transition point of resin forming the shell is 35-45°C, and 1.0-4.0 mass% fine particles having the number average particle diameter of 60-150 nm are fixed to the surface of the toner.
