PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly record an image on each recording medium even when a page interval between the recording media is made narrower than an interval between recording heads in a conveying direction. SOLUTION: A print unit 3 includes a plurality of recording heads 30A and 30B ejecting ink toward the recording medium K successively conveyed in the conveying direction X and disposed to be shifted in the conveying direction, a recording medium detection part 31 outputting the passing timing of the recording medium at a predetermined position upstream from the recording heads 30A and 30B in the conveying direction X, a counting part 32 counting down distances between recording object areas R in the respective recording media K whose passing timing is output by the recording medium detection part 31 and ink landing positions Ta and Tb of the recording heads 30A and 30B concurrently, and a control part 4 controlling the recording heads 30A and 30B to eject the ink when the recording object area R in each recording medium K reaches the ink landing positions of the recording heads 30A and 30B based on a counted value by the counting part 32.
