PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite material which easily and firmly integrates a plate-like body and a base material by irradiating them with a micro wave, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: On the rear surface of the plate-like body 2, a micro wave heating body-containing layer 3 is installed integrally with the plate-like body 2, and a laminated body 5 is formed of the plate-like body 2 and the micro wave heating body-containing layer 3. The micro wave heating body-containing layer 3 of the laminated body 5 is brought into contact with the surface of the base material 1 which contains a thermoplastic resin, and they are irradiated with the micro wave. Thus, the micro wave heating body 4 in the micro wave heating body-containing layer 3 is heated, and thermoplastic resin contained in the base material 1 is molten by the heat. Then, by stopping the irradiation of the micro wave, the thermoplastic resin is solidified, and the laminated body 5 is firmly fixed to the base material 1.
