PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the permanent deformation of a shaft owing to a thermal expansion effect. SOLUTION: A casting roll 1 in a twin roll type casting apparatus has end shaft forming parts fitted in bearings 41, 42. The bearing 41 is a self-matching bearing, with which the center zone 47 of the shaft forming part 21 is positively positioned, but the angled shaking of the shaft forming part 21 centered on the center zone 47 is allowed. The bearing 42 is a flat cylindrical roller bearing permissible of movement in the longitudinal direction of the bearing forming part 22. |
