<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve thermal discharge efficiency of an illumination device in a simple and inexpensive method. <P>SOLUTION: The illumination device (1) includes an air duct (8) with a periphery sufficiently sealed, and the air duct includes a main body extending vertically positioned nearly horizontally, and means (9) for actively sending air through the air duct (8). Then, at least a part of a heat sink (6) is arranged in air flows (11, 11a, 11b, 12, 12a, 12b) carried through the air duct (8). In order to realize an AFS function for curved roads, preferably, the heat sink (6) as well as a light module (5) of the illumination device (1) can be moved against the fixed air duct (8). The air duct (8) is formed so that a plurality of heat sinks (6) of various light modules (5, 5a, 5b) of the illumination device (1) can be cooled by only one fan (9). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
