摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system capable of reducing luminance unevenness by decreasing dispersion of quantity of light in the direction along the extension direction of the light incoming end surface of light reaching a region on the light outgoing end surface side near a light source out of light outgoing areas; and to provide a liquid crystal device and electronic equipment. <P>SOLUTION: In the lighting system used as a backlight of a display device, a light guide plate has a light outgoing surface making go out incident light from the light source and a reflecting surface on the back side of the light outgoing surface, which are two surfaces extending in the direction crossing to the extending direction of the light incoming surface, and also has a light outgoing area corresponding to a display area of the display device and a dead area corresponding to a non-display area, a plurality of recessed parts or projecting parts for adjusting a light outgoing state from the light outgoing surface of the light outgoing area are formed on at least one surface out of the light outgoing surface and the reflecting surface, and arithmetic mean roughness (Ra) in the dead area on the light incoming end surface out of the surfaces where the plurality of recessed parts or projecting parts are formed is made uneven along the extending direction of the light incoming end surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
