<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device which can emit beams of light of a plurality of colors and can be miniaturized, and to provide a manufacturing method for the light-emitting device. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting device 1 includes a substrate 2; a first active layer 5G and a first clad layer 6G, which are arranged in a first region on the substrate 2 to emit green light; a second active layer 5B and a second clad layer 6B which are arranged in a second region adjacent to the first region on the substrate 2 in a first direction to emit blue light; and third clad layers 4G and 4B, which are arranged in a third region adjacent to the first and second regions on the substrate 2 in a second direction crossing the first direction and are connected to the first and second active layers 5G and 5B. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
