PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve flexibility in design so as to dispose U-shaped magnet holders and reduce the size of a DC motor without restrictions in a thickness of magnets and a pole arc angle, and an increase in a length. SOLUTION: The DC motor 3 includes: a cylindrical yoke 18; a magnet pair 16 having two circularly-curved magnets 19 fixed to an inner circumference of the yoke 18 at a circumferential interval, and two U-shaped metal magnet holders 20 disposed in a circumferential gap between both magnets 19; and an armature 17 rotatably disposed within the magnet pair 16. The magnet holder 20 also has a curvature in the radial direction of the yoke 18. The yoke 18 and the magnets 19 have the same dimension in the length direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
