PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stacker crane having an auxiliary device for safely and sufficiently performing inspection and maintenance of a motor. SOLUTION: The stacker crane 1 is provided with a lifting/lowering motor 81; sheaves 83 provided in the lower and lateral sides of the lifting/lowering motor 81 and driven by the lifting/lowering motor 81; and a step 91 which is provided in the lower and lateral side of the lifting/lowering motor 81 and above the sheave 83 and onto which an operator can step.
