<p>A mobile instant message contact grouping method, system and equipment thereof. The system includes: a locating module, for inquiring information of area where the mobile instant message contact is located; and an automatic grouping module, for acquiring information of area where the mobile instant message contact is located, and classifying the mobile instant message contact according to the area information.
