The calendar (K) has a connection articulated arm (200), which is protected by an articulation point (200a) at frames (R) of the calendar. The articulated point lies between articulated arms (41, 42) of two topmost intermediate rolls (21, 22) and a bottom intermediate roll (23), and the arm (200) is rotated around the articulation point by an actuating drive (61). The intermediate rolls are moved laterally in an opposite direction of a rolls gap plane (T) by the rotation of the connection articulated arm around the point. The intermediate rolls are coupled together by the arm (200).
