Use of v-erb-b2 avian erythroblastic leukemia viral oncogene homolog 2, neuro/glioblastoma derived oncogene homolog (HER2/neu) antagonists for treating restenosis after angioplasty and/or after placing a stent into a vessel. Independent claims are included for: (1) a vascular implant equipped with HER2/neu antagonists, particularly lapatinib and/or transtuzumab; and (2) a balloon catheter equipped with HER2/neu antagonists, especially lapatinib and/or transtuzumab.
