<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover characteristics of a fuel cell without accelerating deterioration of an electrolyte membrane. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system is provided with a fuel cell 20 laminating one or more layer of cells which are provided a solid polymer electrolyte membrane, a fuel electrode arranged on one face of the solid polymer electrolyte membrane, an oxidant electrode arranged on the opposite face to the fuel electrode of the electrolyte membrane, and a passage plate in which passages to supply a reaction gas to the fuel electrode and the oxidant electrode are formed, a fuel gas supply device 60 to supply hydrogen-contained gas to the fuel electrode, an oxidant supply device 61 to supply an oxidant to the oxidant electrode, and a DC power source 62 which can supply current of the rated power generation time or more of the fuel cell 20 in reverse direction to the power generation time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
