<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it is difficult to expand a suitable visible range in a conventional display device. <P>SOLUTION: An electrooptical device has a pair of substrates 15 and 17 opposed to each other, a liquid crystal 19 interposed between the pair of substrates 15 and 17 in a held state by the pair of substrates 15 and 17 and driven for every pixel of a plurality of pixels including at least a first pixel forming a first image and a second pixel forming a second image, an illumination device 5 provided opposite to the surface opposite to the liquid crystal 19 side of the substrate 15 and emitting light toward the plurality of pixels from the substrate 15 side and light shielding parts 21 provided in regions superposed on the plurality of pixels in plan view between the substrate 15 and the liquid crystal 19 and provided with aperture parts transmitting light reaching a first range from the first pixel via the substrate 17 and transmitting light reaching a second range including a range different from the first range from the second pixel via the substrate 17 among the light emitted by the illumination device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
