<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-phase AC motor driving device in which the occurrence of failure is not erroneously determined. <P>SOLUTION: In the multi-phase AC motor driving device including: an inverter circuit 3; current detecting resistances Ru, Rv, Rw, respectively arranged on lower arms of the respective phases of the inverter circuit 3, for detecting phase current of the motor 4; and a control portion 1 and a PWM circuit 2 for controlling ON/OFF operation of switching elements Q1 to Q6 of the inverter circuit 3, the determination on the occurrence of failure based on the current values detected by the current detecting resistances Ru, Rv, Rw is not made, if relays K1 to K3 connected between the inverter circuit 3 and the motor 4 are turned ON and all the switching elements Q2, Q4, Q6 of the lower arms of the respective phases are turned OFF. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
