PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical switch capable of simplifying the constitution and reducing the cost. SOLUTION: The optical switch 1 includes: ports 3a to 3c for making light incident and emitting light; and a pair of liquid lenses 2 which are arranged side by side such that the focal distances are constituted variably and the optical axes accord with each other. The ports 3a, 3b are arranged so as to face one side surface 11 on a liquid lens 2a of one side in the optical axis direction of the liquid lens 2, and the port 3c is arranged so as to face the other side surface 12 on a liquid lens 2b of the other side in the optical axis direction of the liquid lens 2. Further, the optical axis of the port 3a and the optical axis of the port 3c accord with each other and, at the same time, the optical axis of the liquid lens 2 is positioned between the optical axis of the port 3a and the optical axis of the port 3b. According to the optical switch 1, by changing the focal distance of the liquid lens 2 from a first focal distance to a second focal distance, an optical path between the ports 3b, 3c is switched to an optical path between the ports 3a, 3c.
