<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a unit and a method for power supply control and an image forming unit, controlling power supply according to a battery characteristic when supplying power from the battery to a plurality of loads, and securely backing up a load having higher importance. <P>SOLUTION: Backup time is set to maintain a function in the order of priority being preset according to the degree of importance of each of plurality of loads. Based on battery characteristic information showing the relationship among a discharge capacity of the battery for supplying power to each load, a discharge current and a final voltage, each power supply stop voltage for securing the backup time for each load is determined. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
