PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and inexpensive flooding prevention device capable of preventing the occurrence of flooding above floorboards when it rains heavily. SOLUTION: This gate for preventing flooding is provided with a pair of support columns 2 erected on both sides of a place expected and planned to prevent the occurrence of flooding, a gate board 8 arranged between the pair of support columns and attached to proximal base of each support column in the basic parts of both end parts in the direction of width, a manually operated rope winding machine 17 attached to an optional position of at least one support column among the support columns, a rope 18 for derricking gate board capable of fixing one end part to the manually operated rope winding machine to wind and rewind the rope, and a rope fixing means 21 for the derricking gate board provided in the other end part of the rope for the derricking gate board and in an optional position of the support column.
