PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combine harvester which can compactly dispose a tailings-returning mechanism on one side of a thresher and can disperse and return tailings to the upper side of a shaking table sorter to improve a tailings sorting capability. SOLUTION: This combine harvester is characterized in that the tailings-returning mechanism has a tailings-returning and lifting cylinder whose convey start side is connected to the convey end side of a tailings conveyer, and a tailings-returning and conveying cylinder whose convey start side is connected to the convey end side of the tailings-returning and lifting cylinder; a releasing port 80a for returning the tailings from the tailings-returning and lifting cylinder to the upper side of the shaking table sorter 27 is formed on the front end side of the tailings-returning and lifting cylinder facing a receiving net 26c; and a scattering mechanism 72 for scattering the tailings dispersed from the releasing port 80a to the upper side of the shaking table sorter 27 is disposed between the receiving net 26c and the releasing port 80a.
