The engine has a high pressure injecting valve (12) arranged in an opening of a cylinder head (10) such that the valve injects a fuel directly into a combustion chamber of a working cylinder. A heat conducting body (100) is arranged in the opening of the cylinder head between a wall of the cylinder head and a wall of the valve. The body is formed in such a manner that the thermal energy is conducted to the cylinder head by the valve and is elastically deformable in a radial direction. Separated parts (102) are held together by a snap ring (104).
