<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming apparatus which is capable of reducing color misregistration accompanied by attachment/detachment of image forming units. <P>SOLUTION: Four image forming units 12 are stored in an enclosure 13, and the enclosure 13 is made attachable to and detachable from an apparatus main body 35, Therefore, four image forming units 12 are attached/detached at once through the enclosure when image forming units 12 are attached to and detached from the apparatus main body 35 in order to maintain or clean the image forming units 12. Since four image forming units 12 are stored in the enclosure 13 as a unit, color misregistration accompanied by positional deviations between image forming units 12 due to attachment/detachment of individual image forming units 12 is reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
