<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling roll diameter measuring device for a grinding machine, capable of correctly measuring the diameter of a rolling roll even when the axis of the rolling roll is deviated. <P>SOLUTION: This invention relates to the rolling roll diameter measuring device 1 for the grinding machine A for grinding a rotatably supported rolling roll 2 by a grinding wheel 30, which is provided with: a block body 4 which is installed on the rolling roll and allowed to contact with an outer circumferential surface of the rolling roll at two points by the self weight from the upper side of the rolling roll; a displacement gage 5 which is mounted between the contact points of the block body 4 and measures the displacement of the diameter of the rolling roll; a supporting mechanism 6 for supporting the block body 4 on the upper side of the rolling roll; and a calculation unit 7 for calculating the diameter of the rolling roll based on the measured value by the displacement gage 5.
