<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing technology capable of using image data after printing, without having to store it storing in an image processing apparatus itself, and capable of ensuring security, even in an image processing apparatus which does not have a large-capacity storage. <P>SOLUTION: The MFP1 issues an encryption key to the image and transmits the image and the encryption key to the MFP2, after generating the image for printing when the image is printed in response to user request. The MFP2 encrypts the image by using the encryption key transmitted from the MFP1 and stores the encrypted image. Thereafter, the MFP2 transmits a use request for requesting a response to utilize the image to the MFP1, with respect to a reprint request of the image from the user. Th MFP1 transmits the response containing the encrypted key to the MFP2, according to the use request.
