PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to use a portable apparatus for fast-forward playback in the same way as at home even when the user is in a remote location. SOLUTION: A recorder performs fast reproduction of titles to be transferred in the recorder and re-records the titles being reproduced (S1). The recorder performs fast-forward time axis conversion to chapter information of normal reproduction content and generates chapter information for a fast-forward reproduction file (S2 and S3). The recorder adds the chapter information to the fast-forward reproduction file (S4).
