PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixed type constant velocity universal joint for improving fatigue strength. SOLUTION: This fixed type constant velocity universal joint is provided by combining an outside member 1 and an inside member 2. At least the outside member has a predetermined component composition. A plurality of times of processing are applied in a temperature area of 850-950°C, A base material structure of a mouse of the outside member is set to 15-30% in a bentonite phase area ratio by setting a cooling speed after processing to 0.5-5°C/s. Next, the outer surface side squeezing processing of getting to 20-30% in a plate thickness reduction ratio at an ordinary temperature is applied to the mouse. Then, high frequency quenching for setting to 0.3-0.5 in a ratio h/w of the effective hardening layer depth (h) of getting to Hv 500 or larger in hardness to the thickness (w) of a guide groove bottom over the whole surface of a mouse guide surface, setting to 0.6-0.8 in a ratio ht/hm of the effective hardening depth ht of a mouse tip to the maximum effective hardening depth hm of a high frequency quenching part of a mouse guide groove and setting to 10-13 in an average in a JIS grain size number of an old austenite grain in the high frequency quenching part is applied to the mouse guide groove 1b.
