PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum type washing machine capable of preventing deterioration of rinsing performance by continuing a shower rinsing action to some degree even when the number of rotations of a rotating drive shaft of a rotating drum has not reached the set number of rotations set by a microcomputer. SOLUTION: After performing unbalance sensing and thereafter finishing slow dehydration, the machine is shifted to a fast dehydration step S111. Then, it is judged whether fast dehydration is performed at a predetermined number of rotations (such as 800 rpm) or faster in a step S112. Even when not having reached a set number of rotations 900 rpm in the case of fast dehydration, only if at the predetermined number of rotations or faster, shower rinsing is continued until judging the finish of fast dehydration in a step S113, without immediately stopping intermediate dehydration and skipping the shower rinsing.
