PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair equipped with a hanger, permitting common use of a backrest panel with the hanger attached and with the hanger not attached, permitting easy attachment/detachment of the hanger, and permitting firm fixing of the hanger. SOLUTION: A backrest frame 6 supporting a backrest 5 is formed of a pair of left and right vertical rods 7 and 7, and an upper horizontal rod 10 laid across the upper ends of the vertical rods. The upper horizontal rod 10 is left-right symmetrical and arch-shaped from the center to left and right ends. The backrest 5 is separately attached to the front face of the backrest frame 6, and a hanger part 12 is attached to the upper horizontal rod 10 via a pair of left and right support arms 13. The support arms are attached in such a state that the horizontal rod is held between fitting grooves in lower ends of the support arms and fitting grooves of attaching members.
