PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an armrest device storing table in a chair in which a lid body for closing the upper end opening of the armrest body has a simple flat shape, and at the same time, the opening/closing operation of the lid body and the taking-out/putting-in of a table are facilitated without increasing the lateral widths of the armrest body and the lid body, and in addition, the structure is simple, and the appearance is good. SOLUTION: In the vertical flat box-like armrest body 4 of which the upper end is opened, the table 7 which can be approximately horizontally developed above the front part of a seat 1 is made possible to be housed. Above the armrest body 4, the lid body 5 which covers the table 7 being housed in the armrest body 4 is freely openably/closably provided for this table housing type armrest device 3 in the chair. In the table housing type armrest device 3, a notch 23 facing downward is provided at the upper end of the internal wall in the armrest body 4.
