PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dishwasher with a dish basket capable of smoothly operating a movable part of components constituting the dish basket and having high durability against the repetitive operation. SOLUTION: This dishwasher is configured to take a predetermined form corresponding to tableware G1-G4 to be mounted by operating at least a part of the components constituting the dish basket 3, a part of the components excluding abutment-sliding parts 30s, 32r, 32s and 33r is covered with a covering material 10, while in the abutment-sliding parts, the components are configured to come into direct contact with each other. The shapes of the respective components constituting the dish basket are formed to retain such attitudes that the parts excluding the abutment-sliding parts of the components are dipped in the covering material by holding the abutment-sliding parts, and the abutment/sliding parts are prevented from being dipped in the covering material.
