PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reclining chair which prevents a cable being connected to operation means and a reclining mechanism in an armrest from moving in the vertical and horizontal direction and can neatly be arranged in such a manner that the cable may not interfere with other members. SOLUTION: The armrest 4 is formed to have a frame-like frame 12 of which both of inner and outer side surfaces are opened. Both openings 10 of the frame 12 are closed by an inner cover and an outer cover 17 which are removably fitted. On the inner surfaces of the lower part and the front part in the frame 12, sideways movement preventing pieces 20 and 21 which prevents cable 24 being connected with the operation means from moving to the outer side of the frame 12 are provided. At the same time, a cable holding piece 26 having an inverted L-shaped cross-section which prevents the cable 24 from moving to the inner side and the rear side of the frame 12 is provided.
