The flat structure (1) is arranged in a longitudinal extension direction in a highly flexible and sectional manner. A dimensionally stable compartment profile (3) is arranged at a front end area. Extended reinforcing strands (8) are provided with the sections transverse to the longitudinal extension direction. The reinforcing strands are inserted into a web or knitted fabric. The reinforcing strands are formed as synthetic filaments made of polyamide, polyethylene, polypropylene and polyvinylidene fluoride.
