Analysis of inspiration/expiration air

The sampling device has a storage tube opened to both ends, where respiratory air is injected through one of the ends. A flexible transport tube connects the storage tube with a measuring device for analysis of respiratory air. The sampling device is dimensioned such that alveolar portion of exhaled air is supplied to the measuring device in an unaltered manner. The storage tube has an inner diameter of 12 millimeters to 14 millimeters, where the transport tube is deviated in middle of the storage tube. The tubes are made of Teflon(RTM: PTFE) and surface treated steel. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a real-time respiratory air sampling system (2) a method for real-time analysis of respiratory air.
