Method of manufacturing a connector

The plug-in connector (1) has an insulating body (2) provided with contact elements (3), having solder connection terminals (6) at one end and pin contacts (4) at the opposite end. The solder connection terminals are surface mounted on a printed circuit board, each contact element having a necked section between its ends, allowing bending through 90 degrees so that the connection terminals lie in a common plane. An independent claim for a manufacturing method for a plug-in connector is also included.
