A discharge lamp device is provided to detect the abnormal state of the discharge lamp device through the light-emission state of the metal forming an insulator. A discharge lamp device comprises a measurement unit(30) for detecting the light emission of a discharge lamp(10) and the discharge lamp. The discharge lamp device comprises a feeder(40) for controlling the lighting state of the discharge lamp. The feeder is used to supply the current to the discharge lamp and comprises a mechanism for performing the feed-back control by detecting the lighting power. A concave reflection mirror(50) is mounted on the discharge lamp. The light-emitting tube of the discharge lamp is made of the quartz glass. A sealing unit is integratedly formed at both ends of a lighting-emitting area. The anode and cathode are arranged in the lighting-emitting area. |
