A system for processing mark data of a book and a method thereof are provided to reduce the time taken for a mark operation remarkably by performing a mark work for a list of plural books included in a mark order sheet file based on a selective mapping method. An order client(102) creates a mark order sheet file including a list for plural books, and transmits the generated mark order sheet file to a book mark service system(108) to request a book order. A book mark service system classifies the book list in a mark-containing book list and a non-mark containing book list by searching a mark database(1085) at which previously processed mark data are stored. In addition, the book mark service system creates a mark file by selectively executing a mark work for the lists of the non-mark containing books and transmits the created mark file to the client who requested an order. |
