<p>The device (10) has a storage table (7) and a transport device (4) for transporting a sack bundle (3) from a transfer position to a receiving position of the table. The transport device comprises a belt drive (13) for transport of the sack bundle, where translational displacement (11) and predetermined vertical height (12) of a sack (2) are suppressed by the transport device. The belt drive is formed in a transition region in a form of fork that includes ends, which project outwardly, and intermediate spaces are formed between the fork ends.
