A light emitting device, a light emitting apparatus, and an electronic device are provided to improve a light emitting efficiency by increasing a recombination probability of a hole and an electron inside a light emitting layer. A light emitting device has an EL(Electro-Luminescence) layer(103) between a pair of electrodes(102, 104). The EL layer includes a first layer(111), a second layer(112), a third layer(113), and a fourth layer(114). The first layer has a hole injection property. The second layer and the third layer have a hole transporting property. The first layer, the second layer, and the third layer are formed between the electrode and the fourth layer having a light emitting property. An absolute value of a HOMO(Highest Occupied Molecular Orbital) level of the second layer is larger than an absolute value of a HOMO level of the first layer and the third layer. |
