A method for managing and recording log files of a flash memory is provided to read and record log information by directly accessing physical addresses of the log files whenever the files are updated, thereby reducing the load caused by the recording operation performed through a file system. In case the format or log file of a file system does not exist, a log file for storing meta-data is generated in the file system. The physical location information of the log file is stored in a log managing unit. When the reading or recording of the log file is requested, the log file is directly read or recorded by using the physical address of the log file based on the physical location information stored in the log managing unit. The log file has a plurality of log spaces in order to manage the logs of multiple meta-data. When one task performs a file-related operation, one log space is used for recording the meta-data log.
